Summary
Romanian National Agency for Fiscal Administration organized a debate in which few topics, such as technical aspects and problems identified in the connection process, modalities/arguments identified by the authorized distributors/units accredited for service, in order to motivate the taxpayers to connect as sooner as possible to ANAF’s server, were discussed. Particularly for big retailers and big taxpayers, only a few days were left in order to connect their cash register to the mentioned server. Romanian Tax administration will send them a notification through the SVP, through which they were asked to start the procedure for connecting the fiscal equipment to the server.

Starting this week, the tax administration of every county in Romania will start sending notifications to small and medium taxpayers, as well. The due date for connection of their cash registers to ANAF’s server remains the same – they have the time until November 30.

Romanian Ministry of Finance, as well as the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, gave assurances that the connection terms will not be extended and reminded taxpayers that the penalties for not complying with the connection deadlines vary from 8,000 to 10,000 lei, as well as suspension of activity and confiscation of income.
