France shutting down COVID-19 crisis support for companies

France has spent 80 billion euros - nearly 4% of GDP - in various support programs for companies since the start of the pandemic and guaranteed another 160 billion in bank loans to businesses. However, companies that have suffered a loss in turnover due to the health crisis will stop receiving financial aid as of September 2021. The deadline to apply for September financial support is November 30th. To be eligible for financial support companies must prove a loss of turnover of at least 10%. The financial aid is limited to 20% of the lost turnover.

This rule applies to companies in mainland France, but companies in overseas departments and territories will remain eligible to support from the Solidarity Fund, due to the continuation of the health crisis in those territories.
