The National Agency for Fiscal Administration has started 100 control actions at certain economic operators  (large taxpayers), in order to verify the compliance to the new demands of the fiscal system.

The ANAF is checking the mode regarding the connection of all fiscal electronic cash registers with the electronic journal, purchased and used by those economic entities. At the economic operators where the checks were completed, the ANAF inspectors found that 87% of them were compliant and as for the others who did not make the connection, different penalties were applied in accordance with the actual legislation.

Failure to comply with the obligation to ensure the remote connection of AMEF, in order to transmit tax data to ANAF required contra measures done by the Romanian TA. Therefore, non-compliant taxpayers would get sanctioned with fines ranging from 8,000 to up to 10,000 lei, confiscation of unjustified amounts as well as suspension of activity at the work point.

Thus far, the TA believes that most of the checks are going to be successful and the taxpayers compliant, but those who are not working in accordance with the obligatory changes are going to be subjected to mentioned penalties and sanctions.
