Tax-free gift vouchers for employees in Austria

The Austrian Finance Committee has given a green light for companies to give their employees a tax-free voucher worth up to 365 euros.

According to the Income Tax Act, companies can deduct 365 EUR per employee per year for company Christmas parties. As in the previous year, this regulation is to be extended to voucher campaigns. Companies should be able to issue tax-free vouchers to their employees retrospectively from November 1, 2021, to January 31, 2022.
