The final version of the Draft of the Law on the introduction of the euro as the official currency in Croatia presented
Summary
The final draft of the Law adopted on April 27, 2022, in addition to the basic principles, elaborates in detail the activities to be carried out after the EU Council decides that the Republic of Croatia meets all necessary preconditions for joining the euro area.
Content
Following the publication of the EU Council's decision on the adoption of the euro and the adoption of the EU Regulation on a fixed conversion rate, the Government shall decide to publish:
- the day of the euro introduction,
- fixed conversion rate,
- day of beginning and end of dual circulation,
- the day of the beginning and end of the double utterance,
- other issues needed for the introduction of the euro.
