Croatian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Davor Filipović reported at the session of the National Council for the introduction of the euro as the official currency in the Republic of Croatia that 370 business entities have so far signed up to the Code of Ethics, which aims to guarantee a transparent replacement of the kuna with the euro. Furthermore, he added that Consumer Protection Associations will be able to identify business entities that may unjustifiably increase prices, that will not declare them dually or will incorrectly recalculate and round them, and will be able to publish on their websites a list of those who do not behave as they should.

The goal of the code is to send a message that there are business entities that can be trusted in the process of switching to the euro.
Also, citizens will be able to praise and criticize business entities on the page of the Code of Ethics, which will generate a kind of "positive" list, as well as a "black list", which will therefore carry a reputational risk for business entities, the minister said.
