Summary
A recently published draft law amending certain tax laws in Hungary is a legislative proposal that aims to introduce e-cash registers and e-receipts as a new way of fulfilling the obligation to provide receipts for transactions. The draft law also specifies the rules and requirements for the distribution, operation, licensing, and supervision of e-cash registers and customer applications. Following the entry into force of the draft, cloud or hardware-based e-cash registers will make it possible to fulfill the obligation of providing receipts.
