Montenegrin Telekom issues qualified certificates for advanced electronic stamps or signature, which are used in the process of electronic fiscalization and are necessary for every company that issues receipts in Montenegro. The process of issuing the certificate from the moment of submitting the request and the necessary documentation takes about 10 minutes, and the certificate is valid for three years, after which it needs to be renewed. Telekom is the only telecommunication operator in Montenegro registered as a qualified provider of electronic trust services following the Law on Electronic Identification and Electronic signature. Digital certificates ensure data security and confidentiality in digitized processes and electronic communications and have the value of evidence. A qualified certificate for advanced electronic printing will be used for the signing of cash receipts, while a certificate for the advanced electronic signature of a natural person within a legal entity will be used for signing non-cash receipts. With these certificates, each issuance of receipt is signed, and that signature grants the TA that there was no change in the data after the receipt was closed.
