Electronic mailbox put into operation in the Republic of Srpska as of 13th of December 2021
The Tax Administration of the Republika Srpska has launched a new electronic service for taxpayers, "Electronic Mailbox", which puts this institution in line with the most modern tax administrations, as the only one in BiH that has enabled this type of communication with taxpayers.
Namely, "E-mailbox" is an electronic service that enables remote, two-way communication and exchange of documents between taxpayers and the Tax Administration, without the need to come to the counters.
The "E-mailbox" is designed so that the document can be sent to the taxpayer or from the taxpayer to the Tax Administration, ie taxpayers will receive tax documents in their "E-mailbox", which can be easily downloaded, viewed, or sent to the Tax Administration.
The electronic service "E-mailbox" consists of two separate functional parts, namely the receiving mailbox whose function is the receipt of mail from the Tax Administration, and the sending mailbox, through which submissions are submitted to the Tax Administration.
Receiving mail from the Tax Administration via the Inbox means receiving certificates, overpayment notices, decisions, and other tax acts in the form of electronic documents for which delivery is technically possible in this way. Submission of requests to the Tax Administration via the shipping box implies submission of requests, complaints, and other submissions in an electronic form signed by an electronic certificate issued by the Tax Authorities or a qualified electronic certificate.
The use of the electronic service "E-mailbox" is enabled through the website of the Tax Administration via section "E-services". To use the electronic service in the part of receiving documents in electronic form from the Tax Administration, the taxpayer must conclude a contract on the use of electronic service of receiving tax documents via "E-mailbox". On the other hand, the use of electronic service for applications, complaints, and other electronic forms via the shipping box is provided to all taxpayers who are registered users of electronic services, which practically means that the taxpayer is enabled to access the shipping box by registering for electronic services. Therefore, the taxpayer needs to comply through a contract for receiving documents in electronic form from TA but can send them to TA without it.
Taxpayers who are not users of electronic services and who do not have an electronic signature to use the functionality of the shipping box are required to register as users of electronic services and to have a certificate for electronic signature in order to be able to use this new service created by the Tax Authorities in the Republic of Srpska.
