On January 1st, 2022, the French government launched a new platform, formalites.entreprises.gouv.fr, which was meant to reduce the administrative burden put on companies in France. The goal was to simplify the search for information and the completion of online procedures by companies instead of filing endless paper forms. As the platform has proven to be a great success, the French government is planning to upgrade the services it offers, and as of January 1st, 2023, this platform will become the one-stop shop for all businesses.

On January 1, 2023, formalites.entreprises.gouv.fr will replace the six networks of business formalities centers (CFE) and the Guichet Entreprises site. It will become the only channel available to companies to carry out their administrative procedures. It also offers online and local assistance to support business entities in their procedures.

This new platform, operated by the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property), makes it possible to bring together in a single dematerialized form all the procedures of companies, instead of about fifty paper forms. With a single form, which adapts to the situation of the declarant, the user is no longer obliged to enter the same information each time he wishes to initiate a process.

Thanks to digital technology, the processing time for applications is also shortened. The declarant will thus be able to follow his formalities carried out or in progress directly thanks to a dashboard.
