With the official transition to the euro underway, the Ministry of Finance of Bulgaria has outlined the timeline and requirements for printing fiscal receipts in both leva and euro during the currency conversion period. The Euro date was marked from January 1st 2026.

Until December 31, 2025: Businesses must display the final sale amount in leva, accompanied by the converted euro value using the official exchange rate.

From January 1 to December 31, 2026: The format shifts. Receipts will show the final sale amount in euros, followed by the equivalent amount in leva, once again using the designated rate.

All businesses issuing fiscal receipts are required to adhere to these formatting changes during the respective periods.
