General information
According to the message of the IO app, payments not recognized as "purchases of goods and services" by the Program are identified as: recurring and low-value, made at the same merchant, carried out on the same day.
These reported payments will not be counted towards the 10% refund and the super cashback ranking (which is giving away € 1,500 for the first 100,000 citizens who make the most transactions with traceable payments). The mini-transactions with these characteristics will be canceled unless the actual purchase can be demonstrated (by filling in the appropriate form found in the link of the message itself).
It is worth remembering that the Ministry of Economy and Finance had announced greater controls on the cashback program together with the company “PagoPA”, but It should be noted that there are still no official directives. So, official confirmations are awaited regarding the controls in progress and regarding the cancellation of suspicious transactions.
For now, there are no real sanctions for those who have received this message, but this does not mean that there are no consequences. There are two risks for taxpayers who received this message: the exclusion from the ranking of the super cashback and the cancellation of suspicious transactions, with the consequent reduction of the amount of the reimbursement due.
From the moment the message is received, the user has 7 days to fill in the form and make a complaint. Otherwise, the risk is to have suspicious transactions deleted from the repayment account and lose places in the super cashback ranking.
