From March 1st, 2022, the documents submitted in paper format will no longer be taken into account by the authorities Digitalization in Romania has begun to take shape, and from March 1, 2022, the documents to the authorities can no longer be sent in paper format. ANAF recommends the use of electronic methods, through SPV (virtual private space). If this is not respected, the documents will not be taken into account.

ANAF reminds that starting with March 1, 2022, taxpayers, legal entities, associations and other entities without legal personality, as well as individuals who carry out a liberal profession or exercise an economic activity independently, are obliged to send to the central tax body requests, records or any other documents by electronic means of remote transmission.
In case these subjects do not fulfill their obligation to communicate by means of electronic means of remote transmission of applications, records, or any other documents, and these are submitted to the central tax body in paper format, they will not be taken into account.
In order to register in the SPV, individuals access the www.anaf.ro website, particularly the registration section in the Virtual Private Space for registration of users, and there fill in their data in the web form that is displayed.
