Fiscal subject related
As a reminder, a hardware-based fiscalization system is used in Kosovo. This means businesses must use specific, approved physical devices to stay compliant with the law.
Under the current regulations, businesses can use two types of devices:
· Standalone Cash Registers: Traditional machines that work on their own.
· Fiscal Printers: Devices that connect directly to a Point of Sale (POS) computer application.
These devices are designed to follow strict technical rules set by the Tax Administration of Kosovo.
Every fiscal device is equipped with a Tax Terminal and a Secure Crypto Module to encrypt data, keeping it safe from tampering. The data is sent wirelessly using a SIM card (via GPRS, 3G, or 4G). Also, there are daily Reports: at set times, the device creates a daily summary of all sales.
All information travels through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to ensure privacy. Once the TAK servers receive the data, it is automatically saved into a digital file for each specific taxpayer.
