The Tax Authority (Revenue Administration) had earlier said that from April 1, 2026, VAT rate checks based on taxpayers’ registration and activity codes would be required for electronic documents issued through private integrators.

However, on March 27, 2026, the Tax Authority postponed this requirement until further notice.

The decision was made following feedback from taxpayers, as additional time is needed to develop systems that fully cover all transactions and to prepare the necessary technical infrastructure.

As a result:

  1. The planned VAT control mechanism will not be implemented on April 1, 2026,

  2. The related updates to the e-Invoice Package, UBL-TR Code Lists Guide, and UBL-TR 1.2.1 Package will not take effect for now.
