The Tax Authority explicitly points out that compliance with all legal requirements is necessary. The cash register user must meet the requirements if an upgrade with a TSE has been possible. In this case, if an upgrade has been possible but has not taken place, a substantial fine can be levied.

This actually means that conversion of cash register systems with certified TSE should have already taken place or must now take place immediately. Violations of the requirements for cash management are administrative offenses for which fines of up to EUR 25,000 can be imposed. The current legal situation in this regard is clear and the tax authorities have now started to enforce these laws against previously defaulting cash register users.
