More precisely, the Bulgarian Members of Parliament have extended the temporary VAT rate reduction for restaurants, tourism, and gyms. As a reminder, the reduction from 20% to 9% was originally introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new schedule includes a 9% VAT rate for tourism services until June 30, 2024. The 9% VAT rate for restaurant services will be in effect until December 31, 2024.
