The Finance Portal has introduced new rules for passwords to enhance security when accessing services and personal data. The main objective is to ensure stronger protection for users.
Changes are:
- Issuing passwords by letter: new passwords will be issued via letter. Upon receiving the letter, users must change their Internet Access Password the first time they log into the Tax Portal.
- Minimum complexity criteria: The new password must be at least 8 characters long and include numbers, upper- and lower-case letters, and special characters.
These rules apply only to new registrations on the tax portal and to users who recover or change their password. Current passwords for existing taxpayers on the tax portal will remain valid.
More information about passwords is available in the area: “Access to the Finance Portal—Authentication and Passwords.”
