SCA proposed to the Slovenian government the possibility of reducing VAT or abolition of VAT on unprocessed food, such as fruits, vegetables, legumes, oil, flour, etc.

Besides envisaging a reduction in VAT on unprocessed food, the SCA proposal also includes the introduction of vouchers or food vouchers for the socially disadvantaged.

Previously the European Commission issued a press release on protecting food security and food security and strengthening the resilience of the EU's food system. SCA stated that they agree with the European Commission's position that consumers must be protected from high food prices.
